It’s Right In Front Of Your Nose

I remember running into Miss Darlene not too long ago and she reminded me of one of her funny stories about aging.
She told about going to the grocery store, digging out her list of grocery items.
She looked in her glasses case but it was empty.
“Oh no! Where are my glasses?” she thought.
She searched through her purse, almost dumping the entire contents out and mumbling the whole time about not being able to see without her glasses.
She was probably quite a spectacle to all those that wheeled their carts passed her, hearing her mumble and frantically digging through her purse.
She didn’t know what she was going to do, she would not be able to get all of the items she had so carefully written down just for this shopping trip.
Finally one of the little old ladies in the store stopped and asked if she was okay.
Darlene said, “I can’t find my glasses!”
The sweet old lady laughed and said, “Honey, they’re right there and she pointed at Darlene’s nose.
There are so many people searching for salvation in the same way; looking everywhere and mumbling about how to get to heaven.
But this isn’t a funny story; in fact, it’s very serious.
It is written how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation. Heb 2:3
There are so many trying to find salvation from any place they can but you won’t escape unless you find Jesus.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. Heb 10:26
You’ve heard the Gospel message many times but have ignored it; listened to the preacher and walked out unrepentant and unsaved.
Jesus offers His salvation to everyone.
It is written, I was sought by those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. Isa 65:1
How obvious can it get?
Don’t neglect this and miss out on the salvation that’s right in front of your nose!

  1. God puts the right people (laborers) in ours paths at just the right time. The simple TRUTH is obvious. It’s up to the individaul. Are they willing to believe / to let go of all the half truths they’ve picked up / to go behond what their closest friend believes. Who are the “laborers”? I believe everyone that has received Christ as personal Savior!
