Delete the old!

New Blog. Deleted the old. Done with that person. Moving on to bigger and better things. Oh GOD is GREAT!(:

It was on Facebook the other evening and I saved it. I knew there was a special message within those words.
I can’t tell you the number of times I have desired to start something completely over.
Most of the time I have ruined a project or have it so stuck together that it would be impossible to start over without destroying something.
Or how many times have you heard someone start the year off with a New Year’s Resolution because they want to change the way things ended in the old year.
I know many that would like to erase certain parts of a relationship and begin again.
But all of that is impossible; you can’t just erase the past.
Words said cannot be unsaid.
Actions done cannot be undone.
Crimes that are committed cannot be uncommitted.
And sin cannot be un-sinned; or can it?
Rom 12:2 says let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.
And anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Cor 5:17
That is a restart on everything!
And you know what I said earlier about words, actions, and crimes – perhaps you cannot undo any but you can ask forgiveness and give forgiveness for all.
This new life is not just about what is going on inside of me but it is also about the new life I feel towards others.
I asked forgiveness to cleanse the pain I have caused someone else.
I give forgiveness to cleanse the pain of what someone else has done to me.
Truly, in Christ, I can say “Deleted the old. Done with that person. Moving on to bigger and better things. Oh GOD is GREAT!(:”

  1. A few years back I did something in the “heat of the moment” that hurt another so deep I thought forgiveness would never be mine. I could not verbalize my apologizy for crying. I had to write it out. I thought it could be published then everyone would know how aweful a person I can be. It did not matter. I had to do what I knew was right. I prayed over every word & mailed it. My guilt had to be “deleted”. Sure enough my friend was & is the loving , honorable saint I always thought her to be. PAST DELETED! The apostle Paul wrote about the two natures that war within us. One of God the other the old nature of sin. Having a growing understanding of the Word & the presence of the Holy Spirit gives us, each, the power to live lives pleasing to our God. We should not judge one another, rather search the Word for answers. If we are searching for God’s heart what offence shall we hold, or what defence shall we take. I will cast it upon Him, Jesus. If Jesus will work with me in such a way, will He not stir in the hearts of the others? Even those who do not belong to Him, most espicaly if we are praying for them. Brother Tim, I pray our wonderful Lord deepen your knowledge of Himself, Jeremiah 33:3. And you contenue to give words of wisdom to those with ears to hear.
