And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing… 1 Tim 2:9
Kylie Bisutti, a Victoria’s Secret lingerie model, recently quit that job because it conflicted with her Christian beliefs, and to save her body for her husband.
She will still model, but only in ways that honor the Lord.
The 21 year old appeared on Good Morning America to discuss her decision, why she decided to quit, and how her husband Mike Bisutti feels about it.
“Growing in my relationship with the Lord and my faith, I just became so convicted about wanting to honor my husband with my body and wanting to be a role model for younger women out there that look up to me,” she explained.
In 2009, then-19-year-old and newly married Kylie beat out 10,000 other hopefuls in a Victoria’s Secret model.
But Kylie said she had an epiphany one day, and not a good one.
Her 8-year old cousin was watching as she applied her makeup one day and said, “I think I want to stop eating so I can look like you.”
This broke Kylie’s heart; “I didn’t want to be that type of person that she thought she had to do that. Thousands of girls that think beauty is an outer issue, and really it’s a heart issue.”
Her husband is very supportive and happy about this career move.
What is her next move?
“I’m definitely going to pursue modeling,” she said. “I just want to be more wholesome and the jobs that I choose are always going to be honoring the Lord.”
It is written let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 1 Cor 7:3-4
I’m not sure why it’s called Victoria’s Secret; there really is no secret to it. It’s all exposed!
S0 I know what Victoria’s Secret models wear – or what they don’t wear – and it is very provocative and can cause men to lust.
To the young Christian women that dress inappropriately – Do you want men lusting after you?
Years ago I had a young Christian woman tell me what she wore was her on business and if a man had lust in his heart, that was his problem.
Remember the words of Paul in 1 Cor 8:13 – if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble.
Don’t cause others to stumble! It becomes your problem!
If you are born-again; if you claim to be a Christian then this verse is for you – for as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27
What you wear represents who you are. Are you wearing Christ or casting Him aside to wear what you want?
May be it time to preach about bed time stories “The Emperor’s New Clothes” again.

No matteer how hard it is, or unpopular, we as Christians, must keep reporting the Truth. God said it. And His word is settled! Just because it’s unpopular does not mean God has changed His mind. Sin is sin. Just because it’s out of the closet & many folks are enjoying it does not change the fact that it is punishable with eternal seperation form God. It is the devil that promotes the idea that hell is a party place. It’s his place of torment! There is only one escape, & that’s through Christ Jesus!
