It is a troubling trend on Facebook.
I see Christians saying things about Karma.
Let me be perfectly clear on this subject – no Christian has any business believing in, dabbling with, or mentioning Karma.
The theory of Karma is a fundamental doctrine in Buddhism, not Christianity.
Karma believes that in this world nothing happens to a person that he does not for some reason or other deserve.
It is the result of our own past actions and our own present doings. We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
I do not believe in Karma. I will not submit to Karma.
I believe in God the Father.
I believe in Jesus the Messiah.
I believe in the Holy Spirit.
Karma is not mentioned in the Bible.
What the Bible does say is this, now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; Deut 32:39
God says there is only Him and no other.
He also says that there is no salvation but through Him; I, even I, am the Lord,
And besides Me there is no savior. Isa 43:11
God declares there is no God but him and so there is no Karma; thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.’ Isa 44:6
If you’re looking to Karma for your fortune or for your revenge, God says, look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. Isa 45:22
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life!” John 14:6
When it comes down to it, it’s Christ, not Karma!
Now the Bible says in Gal 6:7 – Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Is that Karma, the repaying of evil for evil and good for good?
I’ll look at that more next time.
Not all born again people want to go deeper into God. Such a shame too. They want God to be easy & reconizable in their lives. That comes with the search, ease & discernment. I have a choise today, & I want to walk in the foot steps of Christ. Experiance has tought me that my own will lead to trouble. His leads to blessings. Who & what I am is what He says I am. My Creator is not a liar! Hard times come…I am richly blessed! Pain in my body…the Healer lives within me. The hard part is getting me out of the way.
