Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come. 1 John 2:18
If you want a good clear understanding of media bias and out of context conjecture, then look no further than the Kirk Cameron interview with Piers Morgan.
Cameron was a child actor in the 80’s on the sitcom Growing Pains, though you may remember him as the chief fireman on Fireproof or his work with Ray Comfort and Living Waters Ministry.
When asked, Cameron was very clear that he felt homosexuality was not only sinful but “unnatural” and “ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
Cameron also spoke out against gay marriage adding: ‘I believe that marriage was defined by God.
“Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve” said Cameron. “One man, one woman for life ’til death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don’t think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.”
The backlash has been tremendous. No surprise there!
On Saturday, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (or GLAAD) issued a statement saying Cameron was “out of step” with the many Americans and that the actor sounded “even more dated than his 1980s TV character.”
Writes “Scrubs” and “Garden State” actor-director Zach Braff: “If Kirk Cameron hates gay people, why was he best friends with Boner?”
From all that I have read I haven’t notice any quote where Cameron said he hated gay people; but this is what is being attributed to him.
He is called bigoted and anti-gay.
They are mistaken; Kirk is Pro-God!
That would make his accusers anti-God or anti-Christ!
Cameron had also said that he would have a heart-to-heart with one of his children if they revealed that they were gay. Morgan returned, “I’d say, ‘That’s great, son! As long as you’re happy.’ What would you say?” Cameron responded again, saying, “I wouldn’t say ‘That’s great, son, as long as you’re happy.’ There are all sorts of issues we need to wrestle through in our life… Just because you feel one way doesn’t mean we should act on everything we feel.”
So if meth or crack makes his son happy, Piers would be okay with it?
If molestation or killing makes his son happy, Piers would be okay with it?
To his credit, Piers did say that Cameron was brave and honest in what he said.
I have watched several ministers and some politicians asked almost the same thing but none exhibited the stance that Kirk took.
I believe your stance on such issues as face the Christian church today is a definition of acknowledging the Savior.
Remember what Jesus said in Matt 10:32-33 – Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Time to take a stand; therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:13

I’m with Kirk. Ungodly acts are against God Himself. My God will forgive them if they will ask Him. He also will empower they to refrain. We, Americans, should have been standing firm all along. Kirk is showing saints how to stand on our firn fandation.

Kirk Cameron is VERY bold in his stand for Christ. We all need to be that bold. I have friends who are lesbian and gay, but that doesn’t mean that I condone that lifestyle. It also doesn’t mean that I don’t love them. If we truly love someone, we need to tell them when what they are doing is against God, so that they can repent and be in fellowship with him.

There should be more Kirk Cameron’s that are bold enough to state the TRUTH.

We have discussed this earlier this morning–I am so proud that Kirk Cameron took a stand–its not easy on him but we have to state what we believe if asked for sure–even if its not the popular thing to do..

It takes great courage and fortitude to stand up for Christ in this tide of immorality. We admire Kirk Cameron for speaking up for biblical truths.
