Love fulfills the Law

Last week I wrote quite a bit about keeping the Law.
I do not want you to get the idea that I am disrespecting those that choose to observe the Feasts or merely study Torah to learn from it.
I addressed this because there are many Christian groups that seek to place Christianity under the Law as a necessity of salvation.
I do not believe this is possible.
The law neither saves nor justifies.
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. Gal 5:4
The Christian groups or ministers that seek to place the church under the Law for justification are falling away from the grace of God that justified them.
While there are many Christians that celebrate the various Feasts as fulfillment, to which I do not have any problem with, it is impossible to set it upon the church as a requirement for justification as many other groups and ministers have done.
I am sure Christianity celebrates many holidays that in reality have nothing to do with Christ.
Christianity and the church misses out on the blessing of understanding the whole fulfillment of Messiah by not knowing Torah or understanding the Feasts, this I admit.
I have studied Torah and the Feasts and only scratch the surface of comprehending it.
Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Matt 5:17
I know that the Law and Prophets speak of Jesus the Messiah. He is the scripture, the Word of God. All scripture points to Him!
So when I read the Law and the Prophets, I look for Jesus in its words.
Jesus did not ban the Law or Prophets, He came to fulfill and is still fulfilling; I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Matt 5:18
I rejoice in the fulfillment of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First fruits, and Pentecost. I recognize the significance of each in the person of Jesus.
I rejoice in knowing that Christ will fulfill the Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacle.
But if each Christian wants to really fulfill the Law then all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Gal 5:14
There is no greater fulfillment of God’s word than to love one another.
God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

  1. It is God in us that completes the requiremants of God. There are those it would be so easy to NOT love. But when I surrender to His will, & not my own, His love flows through me. God did promise to accomplish the work He started in us. I stoped trying to figure Him out along time ago. All I want is to know His heart. He will take care of the rest.
