I love a DVR!
If you don’t know what that is, it stands for Digital Video Recorder. It’s pretty well a standard on most satellite TV receivers.
It allows you to record hundreds of hours of movies, programs, shows, cartoons, or Home Shopping Network (if that’s your thing).
Then you can watch it later. Whether it’s a day, week, or even a year or two, it will be there for you to watch.
If the telephone rings you can pause LIVE TV, take your call, and then return to where you left off.
Sometimes I wish all my radio’s had something like DVR so I could back it up and listen to a song again.
But not all things in life can be DVR’d.
You can’t record or pause a beautiful sunset with a glass of iced tea and save it for later.
You can’t DVR a romantic dinner or the feeling of the sand and surf between your toes.
You can’t DVR a good night’s sleep and use it the next day.
There is something else you can’t pause and return back to it tomorrow. That’s salvation!
It is written “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Cor 6:2
The right time is NOW, not tomorrow or next week.
When you feel the Holy Spirit convicting you and calling you to salvation, don’t put it off.
The same is true for those feeling led to share the Gospel with someone else; don’t put it off.
You cannot DVR that LIVE moment; seize it when God tells you to!
