Do not split what God has joined!

The latest catalyst to the debate seems to be North Carolina voters upholding the definition that marriage is between a man and a woman.
I wasn’t really going to chime in on this but since the President has, I must!
In his interview with Robin Roberts of ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” on May 9, 2012, President Obama said, “At a certain point, I’ve just concluded that– for me personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that– I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.”
Now let me share with you a quote from a Higher authority. I have read and quoted this myself many times, but it has taken on a new meaning for me.
Here are the words of Jesus; “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’ And he said, ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.” Matt 19:4-6
These words from our Creator maintain His authority that marriage is between male and female – a man joined to his wife.
But a very important part is often looked over or interpreted a different, though, correct way.
The last part of what Jesus said, “…let no one split apart what God has joined together.”
God has joined together the very definition of the marriage union throughout this verse and the Bible; it is between a man and a woman.
What judges, different states, legislatures, and the President have done is prevail upon splitting apart what God has joined together.
They have violated the sacred union that God Himself set forth in the beginning when he joined together that which He created – the man and woman, Adam and Eve.
A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Gen 2:24
Over and over in the scriptures it is always a man and a woman; yet the leaders of our nation have taken it upon themselves to usurp God’s authority on the subject by splitting apart what God has joined together.
I would dare say that those that say they are a Christian – a follower of Jesus, are not following Him when they take the viewpoint of the President; nor is the President.
If you think I am judging, then please read the quote from Jesus and the quote from the President and you be the judge!
