Never Leave or Forsake

god is all you have

What does it mean when He says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Heb 13:5
To me it’s the assurance that Father is always watching over me; always present and vigil.
Yesterday Linda text me about some spiritual problems that have arisen; once again, it’s a distraction that leads my mind away from prayer and God’s word and takes me down a road of worry and anxiety.

But Father God does not want me to worry or fret because He is always there for me.
Then someone says, “I need to come over and talk with you!”
Again, I begin thinking what is wrong and what did I do!
That’s when I told Linda, “I’m not playing that anxious game tonight. I’m just gonna pray and ask God for help.”

Remember, He won’t leave me or forsake me!
Even better, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Isa 43:2

And though most of the day I thought about these things; though most of the day I may have been frustrated about these things; it was God watching over me during the entire day.
He chose the time and place to make Himself known and He chose the evening.
He showed up on our doorstep in the form of a friend but the friend spoke the words of God.

What a great reminder.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Heb 13:5
