Ok, I’ve started something – now let me try to explain.
Joel said, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Joel 2:31
Jesus said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;” Matt 24:29
Are these the same events?
Notice that the sun is turned into darkness in one and darkened in the other.
No doubt that is an eclipse.
The moon is turned into blood, which is also a total lunar eclipse.
Starting on April 15, 2014, there is a series of four total lunar eclipses known as a tetrad.
Nothing unusual about that; it’s happened before but it seems to take place when something happens with Israel or the Hebrew people.
The last one was in 1967/68 around the time of the 6-day war and the recapturing of Jerusalem.
Before that it was 1949/50, just after Israel became a nation.
And you have to go back to 1493/94 right after the Hebrews were expelled out of Spain during the Inquisition.
The difference with the upcoming tetrad is that the next four lunar eclipses all take place on major Hebrew feast days. April 15, 2014 is Passover. October 8, 2014 is Sukkoth (Tabernacles). April 4, 2015 is Passover again and September 28, 2015 is Sukkoth again. So the moon will turn to blood on God’s Holy Feast days.
The times that this has happened there has been something significant happen in Israel or with the Hebrew people.
Certainly this could indicate that something could happen.
It was God that told us in the Book of the Beginnings, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;” Gen 1:14
The celestial bodies give us signs and seasons according to God’s handiwork.
Next time let’s look at the solar eclipses that are intertwined with the lunar!
Signs in the heavens, wars and rumors of wars steadily increasing, and “peace” being thrust on Israel, using methods that are opposed to Gods people, and earthquakes happening in areas with magnitudes never seen before. There is no doubt we are in the end times. Jesus said “I tell you these things before they happen, so when they do you might believe” The prophesies are arriving at a conjunction point, and seeing these things we should not fear, but our faith should grow. The next thing on the major prophetic time clock will be a peace treaty between the “international community and the nation of Israel that will recognize her, and allow a rebuilt Temple. The final precursor to this treaty will probably be the Revelation 9:13-18 prophesy (a war emanating from the Euphrates river area, that will probably be nuclear, that will kill over 2 billion people.) The nations that will be potentially involved in this war are already set, and either working towards nuclear weapons or already have them. We need to watch and prepare our family and friends and neighbors, (not to hide in bunkers or prepare to go to war, but get them in a relationship with the Lord.) The endtime isn’t coming its now.
