Choose this day…

CHOOSE1Our nation is at a crossroads of Biblical morality.
The Supreme Court has been hearing arguments on gay marriage based on the constitutionality of California voter approved Proposition 8 which defined marriage as between one man and one woman.
Discrimination is said to be the heart of the issue.

If this is true and there is to be no discrimination whatsoever, then as a legal issue gays should be allowed to marry.

BUT THIS IS NOT A LEGAL ISSUE! It is a MORAL issue.

I know very few on the pro-gay side would agree with that. If I call homosexuality a sin then I am labeled a bigot, a racist, and intolerant.
Homosexuality cannot be equated with racism or civil rights. Being gay is not a race – it is a sinful choice.

I believe that Jesus died for the redemption of everyone. And that anyone that calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
There is nothing intolerant, racist, or prejudiced about that thought.
So what is the answer?
The answer is found in the Bible.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Josh 24:15

Joshua gave the people the choice – to choose to follow evil sinful ways of the other nations; or to follow God.

The people had lived and watched God do some amazing things. They saw His blessings and they saw His judgments.
What sense would it make to serve the false gods of the other nations?

So what is your choice?
Choose this day who you will follow – the ways of man or the way of God!
