Who is the most Godly man in scripture, other than Jesus?

You will have a different answer than me and probably everyone else around you. There are so many to choose from.
Abraham – though a good choice and he is well respected, he is not my top choice because he did have this problem with lying – Gen 20:2
Abraham introduced his wife, Sarah, by saying, “She is my sister.” Gen 20:2
Noah seems to be another well mentioned man. He is the only one that finds favor with God before the Great Flood.
But after the flood he drank some wine he had made, and he became drunk and lay naked inside his tent. Gen 9:21
Things didn’t turn out well for one of the kids and grandkids after that.

Moses is another fine choice of a Godly man. He is mention more times throughout scripture than just about any other.
God told him to speak to this rock and it would give water but Moses
struck the rock twice with the staff (Num 20:11) instead, an act of unbelief.

I like David. Even though he is described as a man after God’s own heart, it is well known some of the struggle he had especially when he sent messengers to get [Bathsheba]; and when she came to the palace, he slept with her. 2 Sam 11:4
His problems only escalated from there.

Peter, Paul, James, John, Isaiah, Amos, or Zacharias are all great choices.
But my first thought for a Godly man in scripture is Daniel.
For me there is just something about him.
First, he was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. Dan 1:8 This is just food we’re talking about and he takes his relationship with God so serious that he watches what he eats.
He always glorified God in what he did.
The only time he was found guilty of anything was when he had prayed. Even then God protected him in the lion’s den.

Now who is the most Godly man in your life today? Why not honor him by telling him so!
