Suppose a woman has ten valuable silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and look in every corner of the house and sweep every nook and cranny until she finds it? And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors to rejoice with her because she has found her lost coin. In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents. Luke 15:8-10
Last Saturday I joined Mark, Dylan, and Tanya at the church so we could pressure wash it.
I had mine and Mark had his.
But sometime during the early afternoon Mark’s washer started acting up. It would not spray with any amount of pressure.
We compared his nozzle to mine and determined that it had lost an O-ring. Dylan told us the nozzle had shot off about 25 feet so the O-ring was bound to be between here and over there among the grass and gravel.
It’s amazing what you will find when you’re looking for something specific – a penny, a bottle cap, cigarette butt, part of a cellphone, and other little things.
We were searching for a needle in a haystack.
Suddenly Dylan picked up a black circular shaped piece of rubber – an O-ring.
I guarantee it’s easier to find salvation than it is to find an O-ring on a gravel parking lot. But it was found!
If you’re looking for a way to clean your life up; if you’re looking for hope, joy, and encouragement then look no further. You will find it all with Jesus.
