What are you willing to do?

Matt 9:27-28 After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” Continue reading

Finish the Task

1 Sam 17:51 Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head.

For David, it wasn’t enough to knock Goliath down with a stone. Continue reading

Slow Down!

Want to be more like Jesus? Scripture is the key!

Take Psalm 145:8 for an example. It says, “The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.” Continue reading

It’s a matter of the Heart

Acts 2:37 Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

I have wounded a few hearts.
I have cooked a few things that have given someone heartburn. Continue reading

Foolish Wisdom

Rom 1:21-22 They began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.

Recently an atheistic evolutionist said he is worried the U.S. Continue reading

God at His best

Matt 11:3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”

Of all people to ask this question! This was from John (the baptizer), the one who once said of Jesus, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
Certainly that was a declaration of faith and belief.

Perhaps, like us, John may have had a moment of doubt.

It’s easy to have faith and believe when things are going well, like when you’re healthy, have a home, a job, and everything is running smooth.

But when it starts to unravel and fall apart, faith can waver, even if for a while.

In the case of John – he’s preaching to the crowds one day and in prison the next.

You begin to wonder if God is listening to your prayers. You wonder if He has forsaken you. You begin to think what you’ve done to deserve these problems.

God doesn’t promise an easy life but a more abundant life! His word is sure and true; to give Him all your worries because He cares for you; that He will not leave you or forsake you.

Just remember when things are at their worst – God is at His best! (Just continue to read Matthew 11 and see what Jesus was doing!)

Abba Father, I know You love and care for me. It is that thought that helps me through tough times. It is in those times I often feel Your presence the most. I bless the name of the Lord Jesus for taking care of me! YES&AMEN

Tripping over the Rock

Luke 20:17-18 ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
Everyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on.

You’re walking along talking to a friend and suddenly you stumble over something –falling flat on your face. Continue reading
