Luke 8:52-53 “Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.”
But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died.
People continue to laugh at Jesus and those that believe in Him.
Walking on water – laughable.
Raising the dead – laughable.
Feeding thousands with a couple of fish and a few loaves of bread – laughable.
Taking up twelve baskets of leftovers from the same meal – laughable.
Resurrection – laughable.
Ascend to Father – laughable.
Coming back – laughable.
Resurrect the dead that believe in Him – laughable.
Catch up the living that believe in Him – laughable.
The idea of a Creator God – laughable.
The idea of a Savior named Jesus – laughable.
The idea of heaven or hell – laughable.
Even today many laugh at all these things.
But do not take to heart the old saying “he who laughs last laughs longest.” Do not think you will be able to say, “I told you so!”
There is no laughing when it is written “He will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Rev 21:4
It’s no laughing matter!
Pray for those that laugh now!
Abba Father, keep me strong when others laugh at my faith. I don’t want revenge on them. I want repentance and salvation for them! May their laughing become a prayer of salvation! In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
When I remember how I changed after asking Christ into my heart, I think of how different family members (and political people) would be if they experanced Christ as I have. How different they would be if they had an understanding of the Scriptures (given by the Spirit of God). Truely it will be different for those refusing Christ as they find no comfort, peace or light in the darkness they have chosen for their eternity.
