2 Tim 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

The time of fables has arrived as many look at extra-biblical doctrine, that is, doctrine outside the realm of the Bible.

The Gospel message that is true for someone in America must also be true for someone in China or Nigeria. To preach one message in one place and something different someplace else cannot possible be right.

Years ago the only place most people could get Bible teaching was at church and by reading the Bible at home.

Tent revivals sprang up across the country, then radio sermons, finally followed by television. With these came the charlatan, the religious conman, and the false prophets only interested in profit.

Now the Internet gives teachings, sermons, videos, and blogs.
With this the time of fables has increased exponentially.

I would dare say there may be more outlets of bad teaching than there are for good.

Lord help us to get the truth of the Gospel out! Only the truth can combat the fable.

Abba, Your truth is given to us plain and simple in Your word. Your word can be read by all. I pray Your truth is understood by all. In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
