Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine;
he was the priest of God Most High. (Genesis 14:18 NKJV)

Upon his rescue of the captives of Sodom, Abram was met by two men – Bera, the King of Sodom and Melchizedek, the King of Salem.

Bera met Abram empty handed. At the very least there should have been a reward for the return of the hostages.

Melchizedek met Abram with Communion – bread and wine.

He blessed him in the name of God Most High.

How do you meet others? Empty handed or with communion and blessing?

I admit my own shortcomings but this story inspires me to do better and meet others with a blessing in the name of God Most High so that we can have sweet communion.
