The Powerball jackpot of $1.5 Billion has been won!
Now I may be able to check out of the convenience store with my coke and candybar, as the line will subside!
I’m not sure winning such a huge amount is a good thing for anyone person. Most average people cannot handle that massive amount of money.
One past Powerball winner received over $25 million.
When he won he said things like he’d never have to look at the price on a menu again and he could travel anywhere he wanted.
He spent $12 million the first year and bought things that kept costing him. For instance, if you buy a million dollar mansion you have to pay utilities, upkeep, and property taxes for that million dollar mansion.
Buy a Ferrari to go with it and you have to have insurance, registration, and upkeep on an expensive automobile.
He died broke, divorced, and in hospice care.
Jesus spoke about the “the deceitfulness of riches” (Matt 13:22) and how it can choke out the need for God in a life.
While many people are rich because they are born into it, the ones that gave birth to them worked hard to earn it. The ones that earn it know the value of hard work and the ones born into it are usually just spoiled to the glistening of gold.
For the average person to be overwhelmed with such wealth with no knowledge of how to invest or share it properly, it can be devastating.
Many lotto winners end up more poor than when they begun.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19
God, also, is rich! Rich in grace and mercy! Rich in love and forgiveness! These are the things that make a person rich – not money and wealth.
When you seek God first then all your needs will be supplied.
You’re a winner when you choose Christ!
Awesome awesome awesome!!! Great message 🙂

It would be nice to just try winning once to see if I like it.
