Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ. Phil 1:27
Last time I looked at how closely associated gospel and good tidings are with the word for evangelist.
Every Christian is a responsible individual when it comes to evangelizing or proclaiming the Gospel/Good News.
You say, “I’m not a preacher!”
You don’t need to be a preacher. As Christians every word that proceeds from our mouth should proclaim the wonderful works of God.
Paul said, “Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ.” Phil 1:27
This conduct consists of what you do, where you go, how you act, and what you say!
If foul language pours from your mouth, that’s not the Good News and it’s not evangelism.
Cutting someone off in traffic because they cut you off first is not Good News and it’s not evangelism. Especially if you have a Christian bumper sticker!
Drinking with the guys after work is not the Good News and it’s not evangelism.
Telling others you don’t have to go to church to be a Christian – that you can worship God just as well at home or fishing on the lake – is not the Good News and is not evangelism.
Your words and actions speak for you!
Let your words and actions say JESUS!
