I Can’t Believe She Ate The Whole Thing!

Linda and I went to the annual Pastor’s Appreciation Gideon Banquet on Saturday evening.
We had Haylee with us all day so she went along.
The banquet always features an excellent meal provided by, cooked by, and served by the Gideons.
On the menu was steak and baked potato. Continue reading

Good People, Perfect God

The atheist can be a good person, just like a Christian.
An atheist can be a jerk, just like a Christian.
An atheist can be an intelligent nuclear physicist, just like a Christian.
Being an atheist doesn’t take a way from what a person can or can’t do. Continue reading

Creativity Demands A Creator

It is written “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” Rom 3:10-12 Continue reading

No One Does Good

The atheist friend I previously referred to admits that he is an atheist but declared he believed in Judeo-Christian morals.
Of course what does his morality encompass?
Would he lie or steal? Continue reading

The Mind Of Christ

Atheists are difficult to bring to the Lord.
They blatantly deny that the God exist and harden their hearts toward any attempt to convince them otherwise.
I can certainly understand the mind of an atheist since I am a natural skeptic myself.
It’s easy to rationalize against a god by watching the followers of that god and Christians are no exception. Continue reading

I Swear To God I’m An Atheist!

My friend Steve and I ran into one of my old friends on Saturday evening.
He is someone I used to work with but over the years we’ve both gone our separate ways.
He admitted to us that he is an atheist. Continue reading

The Name IS Jesus

This morning I found myself doing some more research on The Name.
It is Strong’s number 8034, if you are interested, and that is used all over the Old Testament beginning with Gen 2:4 where the name of the second river is Gihon;
The real name of God seems to be centered around 4 Hebrew letters, YHWH, and is pronounced Yahweh, which is probably wrong.
It is also where we get an English word for God. Continue reading

The Name – Hashem

I don’t know how I ended up at a Jewish website this morning but I began to read about keeping the Sabbath and how to keep a Passover that falls on the Sabbath.
It was all very tediously executed and for once I may understand what Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day, “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” Matt 23:4 Continue reading

Forty Days

After the Feast of Firstfruits, that is, Resurrection Sunday, He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3
The next Jewish Holy Day is Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost. Continue reading
