The logic of it all!

I like a logic puzzle. It’s a puzzle where you are given just enough information to arrive at a correct answer but you must use logic and deduction.
There was one on Fb the other evening but I was too tired to attempt it until the next morning. It was said that Einstein made this one up. Continue reading

The Man That Saved The World

It happened late one afternoon. Maybe you were picking the kids up from school, or standing in line at Wal-mart. Perhaps you were getting supper ready or settling down to watch television.
Across the globe, some were going to bed and others getting up. In one time zone everyone stopped for lunch and in another they were just leaving for work. Continue reading

Personal Sacrifice – God’s Reward

Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “This is what the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘If you surrender to the Babylonian officers, you and your family will live, and the city will not be burned down.’” Jer 38:17
To really make a difference in the lives of others will often involve personal sacrifice. Personal sacrifice can often be uncomfortable. Continue reading

One Child at a Time

I imagine I can be quite frightening to little children. When they come to church and watch me preach, they get a glimpse of someone that paces back and forth while raising his voice and making wild gestures. Continue reading

Supply and Demand

There are many Bible stories that seem very far-fetched! If I had not experience the saving grace of God, the forgiveness through Jesus, and the filling of the Holy Spirit, I would find it easy to be an atheist.
But because I am continuing to experience a relationship with the Lord God, I not only believe in Him but in His word. Continue reading

The Gift of YOU!

Jesus said, “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38 Continue reading

The Gift of Encouragement

Yesterdays Morning Thought about Working Together to Kill Giants has sparked another thought.

Years before Israel was standing face-to-face with their opponents, the Philistines. Neither army moved because of a Philistine champion called Goliath. Continue reading

Working together to kill giants!

Who killed the giant?
Surly you recall the story from Sunday school or Vacation Bible School.

Only a boy named David
Only a little sling
Only a boy named David
But he could pray and sing
Only a boy named David Continue reading

I believe the Creator

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1:1
I remember watching a bit of Bill Nye The Science Guy back in the 90’s.
Now he has waded in on the creation vs evolution debate.

Bill is urging parents not to pass their religious-based doubts about evolution on to their children.
“The Earth is not 6,000 or 10,000 years old,” Nye said in an interview. “It’s not. And if that conflicts with your beliefs, I strongly feel you should question your beliefs.” Continue reading

Three Views of Me (and you)

There are three ways in which I am looked upon, viewed, or known.
1 – The way I see me.
I am born-again, redeemed, saved, and a Christian. Much that I do is because I believe it is right according to what the word of God says. I read it, I understand it, and I act upon it. Continue reading
