Your impressions of someone can be quite a misconception.
There is a pastor, here at camp that I see every year but have never got to know.
To be truthful, over the years I’ve never really noticed him outside of class.
I know he was probably in the canteen area and perhaps watching the games, but he was just such a quiet fellow that I didn’t notice him. Continue reading
Morning Thought with Pastor Tim
From Plunging Toilets to Preaching Gospel
Andy Comer is our evangelist at camp this year.
I remember Andy from our early years at camp when he was, what is called, a slop-jock.
A slop-jock is a young man that works at camp all summer long and hauls trash, divides up the thrown-away food into solids and liquids, and they do maintenance around the dorms and cabins. Continue reading

Mature Leadership
It’s camp day!
We’ve been going to Daniel Springs Baptist Encampment since 2002.
Back then we had 32 go; this year there are 7 of us.
Back then I was told that I couldn’t participate in the business meeting; this year I’m teaching the adult class again.

“You are My witnesses,” says the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,” Isa 43:10
What you do, where you go, how you look, and what you say all bear witness of you! Continue reading
To Know To Do Good
To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. James 4:17
I recently read where a rural New York town clerk has resigned her post rather than grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
What is her reason? Continue reading
You Have A 2nd Chance!
Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Lev 10:1-2 Continue reading
The Wedding
I performed a wedding Saturday night for a new couple in our church, Casey and Lindsey.

There’s the rehearsal with the wedding coordinator running around, directing, and instructing everyone on where, when, and how! Continue reading
