As most women know most men hate to ask for directions. We will drive around and waste a tank of gas looking for a street sign or a landmark rather than stop and ask for directions. Continue reading
God
I’m not lying!
Burlington, Wisconsin has a Liar’s Club and every year different liars from all over compete for a prize.
Over the past 10 years the winning fib’s are as follows:
I have a 1979 Dodge car that has over 200,000 miles on it and is so old Continue reading
True repentance.
Last night’s Bible study was a look at Zacchaeus from Luke 19:1-10.
Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. Continue reading
Build a Wall; Stand in the Gap
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezek 22:30
Last time I looked at breaking down the middle wall of separation (Eph 2:14). Continue reading
Build a Wall or Tear It Down?
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, Eph 2:14
Do you know what my first thought was when I read that?
I’ll give you a clue; wall of separation.
We hear about this all the time in a different context. Continue reading
Never a Lonely Christmas
This was the first Christmas eve and Christmas Day that I’ve spent away from Linda in 32 years.
It’s the first time we didn’t have all the kids at our house for Christmas dinner and opening of presents.
It’s the first time we didn’t watch a Christmas movie together while having hot chocolate or spiced tea and eating pumpkin pie. Continue reading
The Fullness of The Time
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, Gal 4:4
I’m late with today’s Morning Thought because I was quite busy last night and early this morning.
The “fullness of the time” had come for my daughter to give birth to her first child and after going into the hospital late yesterday, she delivered my grandson, Barrett, at 9:11 am this morning. Continue reading
The Due Date
The due date of December 20th has come and gone; as has the 21st and now it is the morning of the 22nd.
The predicting of a birth is an extremely inaccurate science.
Here I am, on vacation and awaiting the birth of a grandson. Continue reading

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. |

Here’s one for you.
A recent Christian radio talk show featuring a so-called Bible “expert”, who goes by the name The Bible Go-to Guy, says most of us are wrong about the divinity of Jesus because we misinterpret the Bible.
Another guest immediately went into a strong scriptural defense of Jesus in fact being God, citing the very first verse of the Gospel of John in the New Testament. Continue reading

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

| Good Morning! This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. |

My grandparents often told me about The Great Depression, a worldwide economic downturn starting in most places in 1929 having devastating effects.
International trade was deeply affected, as were personal incomes, tax revenues, prices, and profits.
Cities all around the world were hit hard, especially those dependent on heavy industry. Continue reading
