Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

I was watching the TV last night when a commercial for The Discovery Channel came on.
It ran through images of animals, fish, jungles, ancient architecture, polar ice caps, and so on.
It was very well done and quite entertaining.
It made you want to see some of those programs.
Then there was a phrase, something along the lines of TV’s #1 non-fiction channel.
I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself when I think of the immense amount of evolutionary propaganda that this channel puts out.
Propaganda based upon incomplete bits of information and a huge amount of [secular] faith.
This would also be the type of channel that would attempt to disprove the deity of Jesus.
Oh, they do it in a very well done, organized, educational, and entertaining way; so much so that it’s convincing that what they show and what they say is the gospel truth of it all.
During His trial before Pilate, Jesus said, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” John 18:37-38
That question is still being asked today.
I know in my heart that the Word of God is THE TRUTH.
That Jesus is THE TRUTH.
“And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 1 John 5:6
If you want genuine non-fiction then read the Bible.
