Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

I met with a couple of tower climbers the other day. They had come to do some work on our antenna some 600 feet in the air.
I was expecting Preston to be with them but he wasn’t so I asked about him.
“Oh, he fell and #@*% up his hand. Uhh, I mean messed up his hand.”
It was a little too late to change the word, it had been said.
And what gets me is that it was said so nonchalantly and with such ease.
Of course I remember a time in my own life when my language was as colorful and nonchalant.
But Jesus has changed that and I am free not to curse.
Though the tower worker tried to correct his mistake, only Jesus can make it permanent.
As for me, I want everyone to know what I am made of and what is in my heart.
It is written that those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. Matt 15:18
