Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

1205internetI made something of an error in my judgment.
In switching over Morning Thoughts to the blog, I completely forgot about Internet connections.
Last year I bit the bullet and opted for satellite Internet over dialup.1205satellite
With all the surfing I do in Bible study, church work, and the praise team, I needed something faster; so most websites don’t bog me down.
But that’s not the case with everyone that gets MT, especially in the rural sections of the country.
I can only imagine how slow loading up that picture of me doing all those different activities was.
And though I have satellite Internet, it’s still not as fast as DSL, but I’ll live.
My apologies to any of you that were adversely affected by my poor choice.
I do have some good news.
There is something that affects each of us and it comes at the same quick speed.
1205jesusreturnsIt’s the return of Jesus!
He says in Rev 22:20, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Not slowly, not dial-up speed, or satellite speed, or even DSL speed.
I suppose He’ll be faster than the speed of light since He is The Light.
And He will come at that swiftness for each and every one of us that know Him as Savior.
So we can all say as the Apostle John said, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Rev 22:20

  1. Tim, we switched to satellite nearly 3 yrs ago and I never renewed our contract, and am glad we didn’t. when just over two yrs was up our modem went out and the company wanted me to pay over 100 dollars just to get a technician to come see what was going on. As our contract had expired, We told them no no no! Now we are back on dial up for almost less for a year than we were paying monthly on the sat. Don’t regret going back to dialup. Also don’t regret coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus many years ago! Right now our dial up is hooked at a blazing speed of 49.2 kps. lol

  2. CLICK HER? LOL! Just had to tease you a little about your typo! Like you, I’m so thankful we went to satellite internet. With dial-up, if I connected at 20 KPS, I was blazing, LOL! It is wonderful to be able to watch YouTube videos and other things that have to be downloaded, and not taking F*O*R*E*V*E*R! And, it’s wondeful having a wireless set-up so I can be on my laptop and Dan can be using the desk-top. He’s never used the computer as much as he has since we got Wildblue. In fact, that’s the second thing he does when he comes downstairs each morning~~~turns on his computer. It has really opened his eyes to a lot of things that are going on that you don’t hear about on the main-stream media. I really like the Blog, and being able to leave you notes:)
    Have a blessed day!
