Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim |
|---|
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. |

The older counselors replied, “If you are willing to serve the people today and give them a favorable answer, they will always be your loyal subjects.” 1 Kings 12:7 NLT
But Rehoboam spoke harshly to them, for he rejected the advice of the older counselors and followed the counsel of his younger advisers. 1 Kings 12:13-14 NLT
Yesterday I watched the entire inauguration.
What a historic moment for our nation as President Obama took the oath of office in front of millions in person and watching by television.
I’ll be honest with you, I did not vote for President Obama, not because of the color of his skin but because of his lack of experience.
There are many other African-American’s that I would have voted for.
But my president is Barack Obama and I will support him with my prayers, with my praise when he does good and with my disapproval when he does bad.
The president is not just one man; he is a team of men and women, all whom will give him advice.
That brings me to this, what advice would you give the new president?
What would you like to say to him?
Please leave a comment.

Dear President Obama,
Even though we have nothing in common except our humanness, and I did not want you to become President, Now that you are, please listen to good counsel that you have access to. Read your Christian Bible daily. Another book that you should read is “my Utmost for His highest” If you keep up with that on a daily basis for the rest of your life, You won’t stray far from the straight and narrow. My prayers have been with you since the election for your safety and I will continue to pray for wisdom and safety for your and our Nation.

Watching the inaugrational prayers made me rejoice. listening to president Obama’s speech left me empty. In my mind I did speek to him about making it easer for the poor to get medicenes, shelter, and food. Sence our God sets up kings, my prayers are that president Obama will, knowing or not, preform His Will even as the kings in the O.T. did. Salvation is #1. I will suport him in prayer. He has excepted a heavy load and needs Godly people prayer suport. Like it or not Obama is our new leader.

I would say my advice would be seek the Lord with all his heart, mind and spirit. Turn his heart over to Jesus and follow his teachings.
I too did not vote for him~more for his policies than the color of his skin. Like you there were others who I would have voted for regardless of their skin color. I have said it before, and I will say it again. I think too many judged him by the color of his skin not the content of his character~oposite of what MLK would have wanted.

I would also tell him, to really seek God, and God’s commandments, stop all the abortions, and please stop being so liberal. We are suppossed to be , One Nation Under God, and to keep His laws, and commandments.
I too, did not vote for him, not because of his race, but because of his issues, he was not near ready for this position, he lacked experience, and is so liberal, I vote for the person, not the party. I live so close to Illinois, and I know all the corrupt ways of this state, maybe I know too much? Personally, I didn’t even watch the inaugeration, all the lies and things that were said, before the election, totally turned me off. I really pray, we don’t regret this day in history, now he is closing GITMO, I would beg him not to do this, these people deserve to pay for what they did, 911 will never be forgotten. I don’t think this is fair at all, to the ones that lost loved ones that day, or in the wars we are fighting. If race was an issue, then the democrats made it that, to me, it wasn’t an issue at all, it is what he stands for.
