Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

I ended up at a baby shower on Saturday.
Let me first say that the mom got lots of great things for the little one.
There were cute little dresses, diapers, ointments, socks, shoes, and room decorations.
Now let me say that I’m a man and it was a baby shower!
One of the ladies there made mention of how bored the men looked.
I looked at her and said, “All in all, most of us would rather be at a gun show.”
“I went to one of those with my husband one time,” she said. “I told him it was my first gun show and my last gun show. I’ve never been so bored in my life.”
It’s differences like that which probably inspired the book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.
Men and women are different in many ways but totally compatible to each other in many ways.
One place both men and women can be the same and equal is in a relationship with Jesus.
And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women. Acts 5:14
In the church we can get along and all sing the same songs, all pray for the same people, all fellowship with each other, all hear the same message, and all be filled with the same Spirit.
Women may like getting together for engagement, wedding, and baby showers; and men may like to attend a car, gun, or electronic gadget show; but every one gets along when we put the Savior first in praise, worship, and fellowship.
