Go On Your Way

morning thoughts

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Have you been so mentally tired that you can’t think?
So spiritually drained that you can’t worship?
Physically in pain or have an annoyance that you don’t want to do anything?
That’s where I am now!
I almost feel like it’s a betrayal of my faith.
I think of Peter, James, and John on the night Jesus was arrested.
He went away and prayed then He came and found them sleeping, Mark 14:37
The three just couldn’t stay focused.
He went away and prayed, and spoke the same words. And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him. Mark 14:39-40
That’s me.
I can’t seem to stay focused on one thing.
Maybe it’s because I have too many things moving around me at one time to zone in on one.
I’ve had some changes in church that have caused me to change my routine.
There are things going on at work that’s adding to my routine.
And it makes you want to shout, “I alone am left.” 1 Kings 19:14
And I would except I have a feeling God would answer with, “Go, return on your way.” 1 Kings 19:15
So I will ask for you to pray for me so I can continue on my way.

  1. Beloved brother, you’re not alone. So many saints would turn to see only one set of foot prints in the sand. This season your in will change. Thank God seasons always change. I wonder if dry or troubled places are designed to show the Lord what we’er made of. Didn’t He say something about refineing us in the furnace of aflection? Being made perfect is unplesant. BUT you are the apple of His eye! With a WORD things came into being. And He sings over you. What are thoses WORDS doing? Hey, He’s singing over me too!!!

  3. PT, you are not alone, I think all of us, at one time or another, get into this same situation, there is a beautiful gospel song that says, “God on the Mountain is still God in the Valley” if we were on the mountain top all the time, how would we enjoy it? But it’s in the valleys where we grow, have you ever noticed, the flowers grow in the valleys, not on the top of the mountain?

Father, I lift my Brother up to You, renew his spirit, refresh him, touch and heal him, both physically and mentally, and fill his heart with joy, Your joy. Give him a peace that passes all understanding, he is one of Your chosen servants, You know his heart Lord, and his desire to serve You, touch him from the top of his head to the tip of his feet, and let him know that this all came from You, let him feel Your Spirit right now, where ever he may be, I ask this all, in the wonderful, precious name of Jesus, amen.

  4. A BIG AMEN to Pat’s prayer! I believe it was Terri who once said that if God brings you to it, then He will bring you through it. What can be difficult is not allowing distractions to keep you from seeking His face and His will. Praying for you and Linda:)
    See ya this evening!

  5. Let me just say again, you are not alone. If you were to go to a medical doctor he would put you on anti-depressants but I am here to tell you that you know the one you need to go to. Also, if there is something that you could let go and let someone else do maybe that’s something you could think about. I know you feel like it’s all on your shoulders but I’ve told you before to concentrate on what GOD has given you to do, not what man has put on you.

  6. Tim,
It breakes my heart to hear you are suffering this pressure.Just know that you arent alone. You are in all our thoughts and prayers.
Let me share the gifts that I’ve received, and pass on the love that has been given to me.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing and dance. It is there for each and every one of us.
