Whose To Blame

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” 1 Kings 17:1
Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” 1 Kings 18:17
The problem with Israel was not Elijah, it was sin.
Ahab’s lifestyle was not pleasing to God.
He had let idolatry and abomination rule the kingdom.
His wife had more rule of the land than he did.
She was a conniving, manipulative woman that would kill to get her way.
When the rain stopped (for 3 ½ years) it was Elijah that was blamed.
The Christians of our land are not to blame for the troubles that we are in; unless you want to blame us for doing nothing and then we are guilty.
Our leadership from the bottom to the top has corrupted our nation; giving in to idolatry and abominations.
The day came when Elijah was whisked off the earth but that did not end the problems for Israel.
I believe that the day is coming when Christians will also be whisked away and the trouble for our nation and the world will just begin.
