What is the most important book in the Bible?
That’s a good question!
First, we know that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim 3:16) so that makes it all important considering that God inspired ALL of it.
But does one book stand out from the others?
The word of God says about itself that: Every word of God is pure Prov 30:5 Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it! Luke 11:28 The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12 Every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 1 Tim 4:4-5 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17
Well that’s no help.
Nothing written points to a specific book within the Bible that is greater than another.
Perhaps we should look at this logically.
The greatest book would have to talk about the great plan of God, that is, salvation, which only comes through Jesus.
So then the most important book in the Bible would point to Jesus!
Does that sound acceptable?
And His name is called The Word of God. Rev 19:13
It would seem that Jesus IS the Word of God and each book points to Him.
He is The stone which the builders rejected [that] has become the chief cornerstone. Ps 118:22
The Bible is held together by Jesus and speaks of Him throughout!
Remove one and the rest tumble to the ground.
All are dependent on each other to stand as the whole.
Therefore, each book is as important as another.
