A Jehovah-jireh Day

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. Gen 22:14
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” Gen 22:14
I’ve only been Education Director for camp for two years, yet this has been the tougher of the two.
Six people that signed up to teach classes have dropped out.
One lost her daughter last November and is taking care of her grandchildren.
Another has changed the church she attends; a church that doesn’t normally attend our camp.
One pastor is at seminary that week for a very important class.
But three are going to another camp altogether.
I still have one teacher unconfirmed and one class with no teacher whatsoever.
This will get me to the place of Jehovah-jireh, which is where I need to be every day.
I am confident in my abilities; that I am able to accomplish certain feats, do my work, and take care of a lot of things, but that’s in my own strength.
A person doesn’t really see the work of God in their own strength though God may be working through them.
However, when your back is against the wall and you have no plans, no abilities, and it’s entirely out of your hands; that opens the door for Jehovah-jireh.
I can give God credit for what I am able to do, yet I will give Him more credit when I can’t do it and He does it for me.
Today needs to be a Jehovah-jireh day!
