Look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. Luke 21:28
This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. Acts 1:11
It’s Saturday morning as I sit, write, and stare out my window waiting the arrival of the Savior.
I have no guarantee that He will return today or tomorrow but I only know that one day He will return and I’ll still be looking for Him until He does.
I have no idea if this will ever get printed for the Sunday morning bulletin since that will give Him ample time to come before I press “PRINT”.
The thought of His return, the dead in Christ rising, and my departure through the ceiling, roof, above the treetops and into the clouds just seems to wild to be true; yet I still believe that it is.
I’m like a kid in the candy store the week before Christmas!
If He does not return over the weekend then that’s just more time to tell more about Him coming the first time to die for our sins.
It gives more time for others to be saved.
It gives more time to teach, preach, and prophesy.
Indeed, if He doesn’t come over the weekend, I have great joy and assurance in my heart that I have believed in Him coming that first trip, without which the 2nd coming would have very little meaning.
Are you waiting and watching for Him to return?
It is written, Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Luke 12:37
When you are as I am, waiting and expecting His return, then we will be as John, who responded to Jesus’ words that He was coming quickly with, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Rev 22:20
