Unforgetable Wedding

Saturday started out with sunshine but that quickly gave way to clouds by mid-morning and rain by noon.
With the wedding an hour away to the west, I was hopeful that the squall line would pass on through and at least be dry by wedding time.
That actually did happen but the line of thunderstorms was accompanied by a cold front with lowered the temperature from 54 to 40 by wedding time.
The wind was also constantly blowing and very gusty at times.
Now this may not seem like a problem to you, except it was an outdoor ceremony.
The bride and bridesmaid all wore those dresses where the shoulders are bare.
It was hard to tell which was more blue, the trim on the dresses or the shivering faces of the ladies.
The men were quite comfortable in their tuxes, though the cold seem to cut through the jackets.
This is the first wedding were my mouth was so cold I had trouble enunciating my words.
It will be the wedding ceremony I will never forget.
But then I haven’t been to every wedding!
There is one in my future that I probably not forget.
It is written, I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” Rev 19:6-7
And then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'” Rev 19:9
This wedding will be like no other ever experienced.
The weather won’t be a problem, neither will the caterer.
Divorce will not be in the future or any arguments.
We won’t have to worry about finding a home and there aren’t any bills to pay.
Let me restate myself; this is a wedding I will never forget.
I’m looking forward to it.
