The Soul Who Sins – part 2

…if he has walked in My statutes and kept My judgments faithfully — He is just; He shall surely live!” says the Lord GOD. Ezek 18:9
I was wrong!
Of course I knew that already.
The only possible person that can fulfill all the verses from yesterday is Jesus.
There is no one else!
So the only way anyone is justified is through Jesus. But don’t take my word for it; knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. Gal 2:16
So there is no way we can be justified by righteous works of the law.
For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” Gal 2:19-21
It is not by the goodness you do that you are justified; there is none who does good, No, not one. Ps 53:3, Rom 3:12 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; Eph 2:8
It becomes an impossibility for you and I to do some great thing to gain God’s attention and favor.
If it was favor then it would not be grace.
You and I will always have a problem with sin, with what we do, what we say, how we think.
Jesus will always be the Savior that takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29), that’s your sin and my sin.
And what cleanses us from our sin?
And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
Does that really mean “all” or “some”?
Does being forgiven of “all” give us a license to sin more, since “all” them sins are also forgiven?
Find out next time.
