The Answer

Yesterday had a dramatic ending.
Linda and I went up to church to perform a renewal of vows for a couple and to clean out the fridge.
Suddenly we heard the revving of an engine and saw a little pickup pulling away.
There was a woman standing in the road getting dressed.
As we took her to Broaddus, she told us that her husband was drinking (as was she) and had beat her up, jerked out her blouse, and threw her out of the truck.
She told us how they’d loss their house in a fire, how he didn’t have a job, and they are living in a FEMA mobile home.
This is not a unique story; it’s not a unique problem and their own solution is not unique either.
They try everything in the world but Jesus.
Paul had almost the same problem, though not in the same way; it seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another law at work within me that is at war with my mind. This law wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 7:21-25 NLT

  1. Hi. What a troubled world we live in. Folks need help, some don’t realize the fact. They’ll wined up in prison for the rest of their lives or on death row. There by God’s grace is a laborer willing to share the freeing Truth of God’s love. We all have to be at a point in our lives where we can hear the woeing of the Spirit if not we’ll miss Him every time. Thank God for His laborers.
