GPS (God Provided Salvation)

The GPS-assisted crash has become an occasional eyebrow-raising staple of news coverage. Every few months, one hears about a driver faithfully obeying the “turn by turn” instructions of an in-car navigation system, only to find him- or herself in trouble when the actual traffic landscape fails to conform. There’s the salesman in a rental car, instructed to make a turn, ended up stuck on a set of commuter train tracks, which resulted in a major crash.
Then there were the stream of motorists in the United Kingdom, each relying on commands from GPS, were sent into a creek that had risen after heavy rains, noticing neither the water nor the signs warning that the road had been closed.
Drivers have been sent the wrong way on the German autobahn.
In Westchester County, N.Y., several trucks striking low-clearance bridges has been blamed on bad GPS information since the devices failed to note that the roads in question were not truck routes.
What concerns me is the lack of common sense in driving and just blind following the directions of a device that cannot see the road or conditions but relies on inputted information that can be out of date.
The same is true of the spiritual nature of people.
They are willing to believe any spiritual instructions that they hear and follow it blindly into an abysmal end.
Live good, keep smiling, be happy, don’t hurt or worry about others are all doctrines heard today and each is sounds good but in itself will lead to destruction.
Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matt 7:13-14
The way to hell is broad, wide, and many are traveling that way and saying, “Follow me! It will be fine!”
But the way to eternal life is narrow; it is restrictive.
It is One Way; Jesus.
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
You just can’t smile and be happy. You must totally rely on Jesus as you Savior and follow His directions!

  1. Ps 118:24 “the day the Lord has made” Sence I’ve started reading your morning thoughts and this verse I wake up thanking God for sharing this miracle with me. When I look for Him in the day I find Him. If I’m late in greeting Him the day starts wrong. All because you have been using this verse. Thank you.
