God's Will Isn't Contradictory

Jesus said, “If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.” John 7:17-18
Jesus says that if you will to do His will you will know what that will is concerning the doctrine.
In context with the rest of the statement, I believe the will of God will never, never, never contradict the written word of God.
I’ll give you a for instance; I’ve heard a few husbands or wives say that God had brought someone new into their even though they are presently married.
Sometimes this new relationship gets physical and that is known as adultery.
What they are saying is God brought someone in their life to commit adultery with so they can divorce and marry this special God-send-other-person.
That IS NOT backed up by scripture.
Let’s start with an easy one, you shall not commit adultery. Ex 20:14
It doesn’t get much plainer than that.
It is also written, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Matt 19:4-6
Now what is going to happen is the spouse is going to divorce and marry someone else and blame it on God as His will.
It doesn’t work that way since God is not going to bring someone into your life to commit adultery with and God is not separate what He has joined together.
If you are looking for God’s will for a life-mate then seek Him out before you get married.
This is what I did and I think God did a great job.
I believe my marriage to Linda is the will of God.
I’ll share this; when I was seeking out a wife I fasted and prayed and Linda was the result.
