I have heard it said that the reason a person isn’t healed is lack of faith on their part or sin in their life.
Let’s see what the Word has to say.
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.” John 9:1-4
Jesus went on to heal this man, who did indeed give God glory.
Again, the apostle said of his own physical problems, “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Cor 12:9
I believe in the healing power of God!
I also know that Godly people get sick, get cancer, suffer, and some die.
Which is the greater healing; someone that is healed of a physical ailment or someone that is healed from the scars of sin?
Having well-being one’s whole life would do one no good should that person die without Jesus.
Healing in this life means very little if there is no healing in the next.
Healing in this life means very little if it does not glorify God and bring others to Christ.
If I were to work my will, everyone would receive healing.
Should I wake up with the gift of healing, I would empty the local hospitals.
And if the local hospitals are emptied then what would all those doctors and nurses do tomorrow?
I desire to see my friends healed!
I want to see the cancer leave and never return.
I want the sores go away, the pain to stop; I want the limbs to grow back, the sight to return, the hearing to sharpen.
But more than all these things, I want salvation to come to the lost and the glory of God revealed!
We know God hears. He knows the seriousness of our requests. I’m working on emproving in the area of just injoying my God even when I don’t get what I’ve asked for. Fathers don’t always say yes to their childrens requests still the children love a injoy their dads. God’s heart is only good toward us at all times! Only trust.

When Jesus told His disciples that they would do greater things than He did, I’ve always believed He was speaking of spiritual healing, as you so well pointed out is the best healing of all. Does God still heal today? You betcha, provided it’s according to His Perfect Will. Just look at Tristan:) and all that God did in his life to bring him to where he is today. And, I’ll NEVER fail to give Him ALL the glory, praise, and honor!
