Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he does for his people! Ps 66:5 NLT
On July 19th, as I was getting ready for church camp, I misplaced my truck keys.
I searched everywhere I could think of.
I remember taking the truck and hooking up the covered trailer.
I remember leaving the keys in the ignition while I loaded the trailer.
Suzie, another sponsor, was coming over that evening to put some of her groups things in the trailer.
As dusk approached I remember taking my keys out of the ignition and I remember taking them out of my pocket and lying them down but I didn’t know where.
I had to use my spare pair at camp.
Last night I was looking in the covered trailer for some tie-down straps and found my keys underneath them.
The irony is I had the keys with me at camp the whole time!
That brings me to this point, just because you don’t see God doing something doesn’t mean He isn’t!
He could be doing something right under your nose and you just don’t see it.
What we often fail to do is recognize the work of God.
It’s given as coincidence, fate, luck, or karma.
I don’t believe in any of those things; I believe in God.
Perhaps the reason we fail to recognize what God is doing is because the humble will see their God at work and be glad. Ps 69:32 NLT
Humility will take the place of arrogance and being self-centered.
You may call my find something else, but I can give God glory for finding my keys.
Jesus said, “And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” Rev 1:18
The way I see it, if He has those keys, then He’s sure to know where mine are!!
Awesome word, Pastor Swanson. How many times have we misplaced things and never stop to ask the Lord to show us where they are. We think He is to busy to think or care about our “little problem”. But, He cares about all that we care about. Thanks for the reminder, Pastor Swanson. God bless you.
