The Real Peace Of Jesus

You’ll often hear that Islam is a religion of peace.
Is this true?
Yes, it is, as long as you are living under and obeying Islamic Sharia law.
But step outside the bounds and the penalty can be pretty harsh.
All the Muslim’s want is to convert the entire world to live under Sharia.
There is actually an example of this type of intolerance in the Bible.
King Nebuchadnezzar decided to have everyone worship the Babylonian way – bow down in the same direction at a specific time, which to me sounds like a pre-Islamic idea of facing Mecca at a specific time.
The one catch was whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:6
So you can live in peace if you follow the rules, bow down, and worship this false god; or you can disobey the religious law and be killed.
Three men dared to disobey!
Then the leader of this religion of peace, the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:19-20
Now you may be thinking that Islam did not exist until the 6th century A. D.
I believe the root of their religious thought is found in the descendants of Ishamel, the slave son of Abraham.
There was no grace under the law of Nebuchanezzar.
There is no grace under Sharia.
You might be thinking that God, in the Old Testament, didn’t offer grace either but I would disagree; Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Gen 6:8
Remember the purpose of the Law was not to absolve sins but to reveal the sinful nature of people. No one is saved by the works of the Law; by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Eph 2:8
O that the people of Islam would find the grace of God and the real peace of Jesus!
