May I Quote You?

I like quotes!
I like to read what others have said that’s of significance; it doesn’t matter if it’s Christian or of a secular nature.
Some of my favorites include Will Rogers.
He was a political satirist in the 1920’s.
Some of his best remarks are: A fool and his money are soon elected.
About all I can say for the United States Senate is that it opens with a prayer and closes with an investigation.
Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we’re paying for.
Then there is Mark Twain: A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way.
Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often.
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.
Groucho Marx: Getting older is no problem. You just have to live long enough.
Before I speak, I have something important to say.
I’ve had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn’t it.
I also like many Christian writers.
The unbelieving mind would not be convinced by any proof, and the worshiping heart needs none. ~A W Tozer
A man can no more diminish God’s glory by refusing to worship him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word darkness on the walls of his cell. ~C. S. LEWIS
But by far the best quotes I have ever read come from Jesus.
Others may give words of wisdom but only Jesus can give the words of life.
He said, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matt 7:24-27
Be wise; read and do the sayings of Jesus.
