What Will You Spread Today?

Bob just answered a question about Susan!
I see that kind of post on Facebook all the time but then one day it happened to me.
There it was; someone that I was an acquaintance answering a question about me.
I didn’t bother with opening it or looking at it.
Curiosity may kill the cat but it doesn’t bother me.
What I think actually happens is a cascading effect; one person opens an application and must give the app permission to gather information from their contacts.
The app will then generate to that list of contacts that a question was answered about them and placed on each contacts FB page.
If one of those contacts opens the app and gives it permission the cycle begins again.
Though most of the Facebook apps are harmless, viruses are spread in much the same way from pc to pc.
There are other things that spread the same way; Paul told Timothy to shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. 2 Tim 2:16-17
It seems that bad news and gossip always spreads like wildfire.
However the message about Jesus can also have a rippling, cascading effect; the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect. Acts 19:20
On Facebook I can see both.
I see the news that someone was in a wreck, is pregnant, or has cancer.
I see political messages, announcements about meetings, or even movie reviews.
I also see the message that a church service was awesome, a daughter accepted Jesus, or pray for a grandmother.
What will you spread today?

  1. Sence I will be held acountable to God for every idle word I may speak. The answer to your question is, with God’s help, only His truth & little of my own stuff. Like, Last night I won a 2 week free guest pass at a health club. I was thinking how I’d maybe like to do something like that when the phone rang. Praise God.
