Justified By Faith

Too many Christians believe their justification comes from baptism, gifts, tithing, teaching Sunday school, or going to church.
You are not justified by good works, but you are created in Christ Jesus for good works. Eph. 2:10
In Christianity, we tend to treat good works as a type of law, feeling justified at pleasing God with the things we do for Him.
It becomes a contest for us to see which of us can do more for God than the other.
But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Gal. 3:11, 12
I am not justified by pastoring a church, being a dj on a Christian radio station, or leading people to Jesus.
Justification is by God’s grace in Christ Jesus, alone!
It is by faith that I know that I am justified in God’s sight, through His Son, because the just shall live by faith.
Don’t count on your abilities to get you into heaven; whatever is not from faith is sin. Rom. 14:23

  1. Isn’t grace the power of God working in us? Then any good work belongs to God. Isn’t victory already ours sence Christ lives in us, & He is victory? We strive for what is already in us. Strange. Why does it take so long for us to learn smiply to trust God? Oh, life would be so much easier. Blessing on you bro. Linda also!
