I’ve discovered that the truth of scripture can often lead to a truth of wisdom.
For instance, it was Jesus that said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
I have also discovered for some, they will hear the truth and it will make them flee!
They don’t like hearing the truth as presented in God’s word.
It worries them.
What if the Bible is right and judgment is waiting some day?
What if what they are doing is actually called ‘sin’ by God?
What if there is only one way?
I’ll admit these questions once ran through my mind.
It was then I accepted the grace and forgiveness I found in Jesus.
I discovered He changed me.
But I have seen others run, hard and fast as if they could distance themselves from God.
I have seen the Bible fulfill itself; for a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. They will reject the truth and follow strange myths. 2 Tim 4:3-4 NLT
Their thought: if you don’t like the message, find a new messenger that will speak on things of which you approve and agree.
That tactic only frees your conscience; it doesn’t necessarily free your soul!
Seek the truth of the Christ and discover real freedom!
