Do It God's Way, Time Is On His Side

Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.'” So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the LORD had said. Ex 7:8-13
It’s increasingly more important to listen to the Lord; to do just as the Lord commands.
I have run into a few people lately that have asked the question, “Why doesn’t God just reveal Himself so I can believe?”
I think He does reveal Himself, everyday, all around us.
And a miracle from God will still be mocked by mankind.
In the case of Moses, he and Aaron did “just as the LORD commanded” when they answered Pharaoh’s call for a miracle.
The miracle was mocked by those that perform tricks and this mockery just made Pharoah more stubborn than ever.
There are many more things that can obscure a clear view of the Almighty; that draw our attention away from Him and place it on the wonder of mankind.
300 channels on TV is just one example. That’s plenty to keep us entertained and away from God.
But like the “magic snakes”, God will swallow up all opposition against Him. Though you may also do the command of God and it seems that your efforts are mocked; that it just isn’t going to make a difference.
Keep this in mind, it took time and 10 plagues before Moses secured the release of his people!
Time is on God’s side!

  1. It is God who has the patience with man. NOT man being patient with God. He takes time to show us the truth. He works to deliver us even from ourselves. Oh, thank You Lord !
