Honoring Others

Last night we had our radio station Christmas party. I knew something was afoot when I walked into Vera’s office earlier in the day and she hid something; or attempted to!
All I saw was a card that she was signing, knew something was going on but I went my way and didn’t think too much about it.
At the Christmas party I ended up being honored for 15 years of service to the radio ministry, though January will be 16.
They roasted me!
They told stories (some actually true) about me.
It was great fun.
I like working there.
Sure, there are times when there may be some tension in the air or the work load can stress you out (like yesterday), but all-in-all, I like it!
I wish everyone could work for a ministry or work around Christians.
We may get upset and stressed but no one gets cussed out, no one comes in with a hangover, and no one shows up smelling like a meth lab.
The worse part of the job is everyone has to work around me and I can be a cut-up and prankster at times.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:17, Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
It’s great that we can honor each other and everyone should be called to the front and recognized for their accomplishments.
Each of us deserves to be roasted by our friends and family.
To everyone that was there, thank you for your love and affection; your words of kindness and retaliation.
I hope I get to do the same for you some day!
