Face to Face

Facebook now boast more than 500 million active users and
50% of them log on to Facebook in any given day.
The average user has 130 friends and all users combined spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook.
On New Year’s weekend a record-breaking 750 million photos were uploaded to Facebook.
A recent survey of 500 top colleges found that 10% of admissions officers acknowledged looking at social networking sites such as Facebook to evaluate applicants. Thirty-eight percent of admissions officers said that what they saw negatively affected the applicant.
Facebook has changed the way 500 million of us live.
At one time you would pick up the phone, dial a number, and talk for 15 or 20 minutes to find out how your family and friends were doing.
Today a quick glance at their status can give you that information.
Wait a few minutes and you might discover they’ve “checked in” at a local restaurant.
Sometimes there is more information than you want to know about someone, plus pictures or video.
I could be friends with all 500 million and that can’t compare to the One Face I desire to see – Jesus!
I can be FB friends with the rich and famous, with pastor’s, with atheists, with politicians and none will satisfy like the face-to-face encounter with God.
It is written that the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Ex 33:11
What an awesome expression of friendship God has with us.
It says that in the New City Jerusalem, the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. Rev 22:3-4 NLT
Facebook may be a fun and entertaining way to keep up with friends, but how much better it will be to be with Jesus face-to-face.
