Surviving Death

There was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead. Ex 12:30
When it comes to the death of the firstborn, most think about children or babies.
But even in my mid-50s I am still a firstborn.
Using my wife Linda as an example, if the firstborn in her family were killed she would lose her dad, mom, husband (me), our daughter, our granddaughter, her brother, a niece, her sister’s husband, a nephew, and great-niece.
Eleven of us would be gone leaving only 9 to carry on.
This same devastation will be a reality once again as families are ripped apart by the 2nd Death mentioned in Revelation 20; This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:14-15
For those that never took Jesus as Savior, their fate is sealed and husbands will be separated from wives, brothers from sisters, parents from children.
There will be a great cry in heaven and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Rev 21:4
To miss this horrible occurrence all you have to do is what the Hebrews did in Egypt,
when He sees the blood … the LORD will pass over … and not allow the destroyer … to strike you. Ex 12:23
It is the blood of Jesus that can save you from death; you were not redeemed with corruptible things… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:18-19
Let yourself be protected by the blood today, accept Jesus as your Savior.

  1. Knowing these absolutes truths gives me peace. I do have sorrow for those gone ahead leaving questions of their salvation. BUT, God is good. I know He worked, nailed self to a tree, visites daily expossing the TRUTH for those who will take hold. God has done it all. It is the individaul who must choose God or eternity without God. At times I’d like to pound the TRUTH into a person, but that’s not how He won me. It’s not my job to convict. I’m only to tell & live IT.
