Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Cor 1:13
Linda and I went geocaching on Saturday and visited a very interesting place NE of Mt. Enterprise.
Across from the church is a cemetery.
Beside the cemetery is a trail that leads out into the woods and down to a creek.
By the creek is a concrete cistern; a baptistery in the woods!
It was more exciting to the two of us than finding the geocache.
I could just imagine the many people that were saved at revivals and Sunday meetings.
Perhaps they went down the trail to the creek and were baptized immediately.
I think of all the preachers that spoke glorious words over them.
I think of the mom’s and dad’s that rejoiced over their children being saved and baptized.
Perhaps hardened alcoholics gave their souls to Jesus, were baptized, and became pillars of the community and church.
It’s hard to imagine how many went down to that old creek in repentance and walked back up the hill a new creation in Christ.
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27-28
what a wonderful find. I wonder why they didn’t just use the creek?
